Hermine is now long gone from our area and is over the Mid-Atlantic states.

An old feeder band into the system was left over Central Florida. That band has dissipated, however, the moisture associated with it is sitting overhead.

As a result, expect fairly widespread showers and storms today with some more heavy rain moving in from the Gulf. Areas that are currently experiencing flooding will see additional problems today. As we get back to normal weather, flood waters should recede over the next few days.

Some drier air aloft will settle in by tomorrow cutting our rain chances back to around 30 percent as we get back to a more normal weather pattern to close out the Labor Day weekend.
