Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Brooksville couple Friday on dozens of drug related charges.

Authorities say the arrests came after weeks of coordinated investigation.

  • Brooksville couple arrested on dozens of charges
  • George and Melinda Jackson reportedly sold meth to undercover detectives
  • During the raid, several stolen vehicles were found on their property

According to a sheriff’s office spokesperson, undercover detectives made three separate purchases of methamphetamines and marijuana from George Jackson, 51. The purchases occurred at his home, they say, located at 25155 Kibler Lane in Brooksville.

Two of the drug deals were reportedly facilitated by Jackson’s wife, Melinda, 34, who until Friday’s arrests had a clean criminal history.

Jackson, however, reportedly had a lengthy rap sheet, including aggravated assault, burglary, battery, possession and sale of meth and cocaine, and several other charges.

During the Friday raid, the HCSO used multiple units to make the arrests safely – including the sheriff’s office SWAT team.

Two other individuals, James Golden III and Jenna Storey, were also at the Jackson’s home when the raid occurred. Detectives reportedly found meth on both individuals, as well as several stolen vehicles scattered throughout the property.

Bond for George and Melinda have been set at $136,000 and $125,000, respectively.
