Students are offered college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors, and hope for a better life.
The Leadership Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, January 26, at 7:30 a.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. It will feature many local dignitaries, business, religious, educational, and community leaders, and provides an opportunity to support local students.
“This year, we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of this inspirational event! The Leadership Prayer Breakfast usually sells out early and because Col. Rick Wells will be sworn in just 3 weeks before, this will be one of the first opportunities the community will have to hear him speak and to show their support,” says Take Stock’s Executive Director, Diana Dill.
Colonel Wells has been in law enforcement for 31 years and currently serves as second in command at the Manatee County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Brad Steube.
From 2010 to 2015, Wells served as Chief of Police at the Palmetto Police Department.
