A 13-year-old was critically injured in a New Year’s Eve hit-and-run crash in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An SUV was traveling south on US-41 in the inside lane when troopers said the driver failed to see Cameron Fuller who was crossing US-41 with his bike, south of the marked crosswalk.

Troopers said the vehicle collided with the left side of the bike.

According to troopers, the driver failed to stop and continued southbound on US-41. The vehicle is described as a green Chevy Suburban. It might have damage near the front headlight.

Fuller was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.
