The body of a 15-year-old girl was discovered in a ditch in Tampa Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 3 p.m. Wednesday Tampa Police received a call regarding a body found in a ditch between W. Bougainvillea Avenue and W. Seneca Avenue.
Investigators say the teen died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. It is unclear at this time whether the gunshot was accidental or intentional.
The case remains under investigation.
