Bay area inaugural goers have been living on adrenaline these last few days, trading little sleep for a whole lot of fun.

  • Bay area Trump supporters in D.C. for Inauguration Day
  • Lake Wales elector, Kat Gates-Skipper, helped get Trump elected
  • Member of Pinellas Republican Team booked ticket as soon as Trump got elected

One Florida delegate, who helped get soon-to-be president Donald Trump elected, has been celebrating big time for the big day.

"I'm living on good vibrations," said Kat Gates-Skipper. "I'm lost for words. I'm just so excited."

Kat Gates-Skipper is an elector from Lake Wales. Before election day, Kat was flooded with letters from people asking her not to cast her vote for Donald Trump.

She did, and she's been celebrating all over social media ever since. Today's inauguration is like icing on the cake.

"We're just blessed and honored to be a part of this historic event," she said.

Other Trump supporters will also be attending the big day.

Matt Lettelleir got his inaugural ticket from U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis. He said he drove 14 hours from St. Petersburg.

"Bought a brand new tuxedo, have a great bow tie to wear with it, got my dancing shoes," he said.

Matt is part of the Pinellas Republican team who made this day happen. Although he knows it's going to be a very long Friday, he says it's worth it and an opportunity of a lifetime.

"It's kind of surreal. The sheer number of people," he said.

Matt said he booked his hotel room for the inauguration as soon as Trump won the election. He said he can't wait for Trump to officially become the 45th president of the United States.
