A 19-year-old passenger was killed Saturday morning in a vehicle crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident occurred shorty after 12 a.m. at US 41 and Florida Avenue in Hillsborough County. 

According to FHP, a Saturn traveling southbound on US 41 failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Florida Ave. and collided with a Tampa police vehicle that was traveling northbound. 

The passenger of the Saturn, Jordan Garrett, 19, was pronounced dead on scene. 

The driver of the Saturn, Ashlyn Price, 18, only received minor injuries. 

The Tampa police officer, Sigure Oneil, also received minor injuries. 

According to the FHP report, charges are pending.
