A new deal between the University of South Florida and Raymond James Stadium is in the works.
On Tuesday, the Tampa Sports Authority will be discussing a proposed lease agreement.
A draft shows it would be a six-year deal with a five-year option. The term includes a termination clause with a 24-month written notice.
Other highlights include:
- USF will not pay any rental fees, but will pay direct costs associated with its games
- USF will collect and pay to TSA a ticket surcharge
- USF will play at least six home games annually
The move comes at a time that the school is still looking at the feasibility of building a stadium on-campus.
The agreement to use Raymond James Stadium must first be approved by the TSA executive committee and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before its presented to USF.
