A disabled veteran in Inverness received some extra love and care this past week from some generous volunteers.

The Home Depot Veterans Community Project lasted two days while volunteers worked to spruce up the veteran's home and yard.

Volunteers cleaned up old limbs and debris from the yard. They also pressured washed and painted the outside and inside of the home.

Home Depot even installed new flooring.

Employees from the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, volunteers from Home Depot, Operation Welcome Home and the community came together to make an impact in this veteran's life.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office posted to Facebook saying, "All it takes is one person to make a huge impact in our community."
