One person was killed and another injured in an early-morning Tampa crash that closed a major intersection for several hours.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involving three vehicles happened just before 3:30 a.m. at Adamo Drive (Hwy 60) and Falkenburg Road.
Troopers said 28-year-old Johnathan Nicholas Honza ran the red light while driving his Chevrolet SS westbound on Adamo Drive, colliding into a southbound Acura TSX sedan.
The driver of the Acura was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died. His identity has not been released yet.
A third vehicle, a Chevrolet Express van with a driver and four passenger, was struck by debris from the violent crash. No one in the van was hurt.
FHP Sgt. Steve Gaskins said the crash is alcohol-related.
The Acura was sheared in half with the other side of the car ending up about 100 yards away. Crews moved the Chevy SS into an adjacent parking lot.
The crash left a large debris field.
The cleanup took several hours and the roadway was reopened jus tafter 11 a.m.
