FHP: Motorcyclist killed in Bradenton crash

A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash Wednesday in Bradenton after his bike crashed into the rear end of another car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

  • Michael Thomas Pelletier, 63, killed in crash
  • Troopers said Pelletier failed to observe car in front of him had stopped
  • No charges filed against driver of other vehicle

Troopers said Michael Thomas Pelletier, 63, was traveling north on 15th Street E approaching the intersection with 37th Street East. Pelletier failed to notice that the car in front of him had stopped for traffic and collided with the car.

Pelletier was declared deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No one in the other car was injured in the crash. The driver, Erik Guendulain-Hernandez, 18, was not charged in the incident.
