The results are in for two special elections in Hillsborough County. 

Voters selected a new mayor for Temple Terrace and a state rep candidate for District 58 in the general election. 

In Temple Terrace, Mel Jurado easily outdistanced David Ganessingh and Linda Ormsbee. Jurado received 72 percent of the vote to Ganessingh's 18 percent and Ormsbee's 9 percent. 

In the State Representative, District 58 Special Election, Lawrence McClure captured almost 55 percent of the vote to top Yvonne Fry's 45 percent.

McClure will move on to a special general election on Dec. 10. 

The Supervisor of Elections Office's Canvassing Board will meet on October 13 to review provisional ballots and on October 20 to certify the official results of the election.
