Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, with a preview of conditions through the weekend and into next week.

Tonight will be partly cloudy to mostly clear and fairly comfortable again.

Low temperatures will be in upper 60s to the north to low 70s around Tampa Bay.

The northeast winds will continue on Friday, with highs in the upper 80s and a very low chance of an isolated shower. The afternoon will be breezy.

Saturday will be partly sunny and warm with highs in the upper 80 to near 90 degrees. It will be breezy with east winds. There will be a couple of showers on the east coast trying to move west. Polk County will see a few afternoon sprinkles.

Moisture returns on Sunday. There will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. The chance of rain is 40 to 50 percent Sunday through Tuesday before a strong cold front arrives.

That front will bring us the first real blast of Fall weather. Rain chances taper off during Tuesday as the cooler air pushes in Tuesday into Wednesday.

Beginning Wednesday, high temperatures are forecast to be in the 70s! Wednesday night the low temperatures will be in the 50s around Tampa Bay to the 40s north.

It will be mostly sunny from midweek into the next weekend.
