Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Interim Police Chief Brian Dugan talked to officers patrolling the area during their evening roll call.

"You guys go hunt him down and bring his head to me," said Buckhorn.

Police are working long hours, combing the neighborhood asking for tips and following up on leads.

"We are going door to door. We are asking people if they have camera systems, if they've seen anything. We're asking who lives there," said Dugan.

Mayor Buckhorn calls it a "violent crime" and he said officers won't stop looking until the killer is caught.

"We've never experienced a crime like this before, and so crimes like this call for unusual measures," he said.

He said officers need a break in the case.

"While this will be solved with good police work, it's also going to be solved with information that we get from the community," Buckhorn said.
