New video has been released of a person of interest in the Seminole Heights slayings, and investigators have added $10,000 to a reward for information.

Interim Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said the person seen in the video released Thursday afternoon during a news conference is not being called a suspect but rather a person of interest.

Dugan also said the reward for information leading to an arrest in the slayings in the Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa — three in less than two weeks — has been increased from $25,000 to $35,000.

Anthony Naiboa, Benjamin Mitchell and Monica Hoffa all were gunned down along or near North 15th Street in separate incidents this month.

Dugan said the video released Thursday was captured before Mitchell was shot and killed Oct. 9.

The video shows a man walking and pulling a phone from his pocket. A few minutes later, the same person is seen running.

"The cop in me says, 'Why are you running seconds after the murder of Benjamin Mitchell?' And that's the answer we want," Dugan said.

Dugan said if anyone knows the person of interest, it should be clear to them who it is after watching the video.

"If that were me in that video, I have to believe my neighbors would be able to identify me," he said.

Dugan said that because of the ongoing investigation, he couldn't give a specific address where the video was taken.

"We believe this person has ties to this neighborhood, and we want to speak to them."

Mitchell, 22, was shot and killed while waiting at a bus stop near North 15th Street and East Frierson Avenue. It appears that he was alone, police said.

Hoffa, 32, was shot and killed in the 1000 block of East New Orleans Avenue.

Naiboa, who was autistic, was on his way home from work Oct. 19 when he was shot and killed.
