Inspired after a friend's cancer diagnosis, the "Sixty Sistahs" are living life to the fullest.

"These women, to give up their time and their money to make my bucket list moments a reality, is amazing," said Patty Virgilio.

When Virgilio is making scary faces, striking a pose or being the all around life of the party, she is also fighting a very real battle for her life.

"Still battling cancer," she said. "I've had three different types of cancer. I've had breast cancer, thyroid cancer, and pancreatic cancer, and the pancreatic cancer continues to come back."

Five years ago, Virgilio was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The moment inspired what became a bucket list journey down Route 66. This month, the group returned home from its latest road trip through the Mississippi River Road.

"We started in Chicago and I didn’t realize how many of Patty's homes we were going to hit along the way," said friend Julie Rothfeld.

The Chicago stop included a surprise visit from Grammy winning artist and most importantly Patty's longtime friend, Marcia Ball.

From Chicago to St. Louis, a Cardinals baseball game to skipping stones in the Mississippi. Another successful trip is in the books, but these adventures are far from over.

"I have more things that I want to do, as I continue to fight," Virgilio said. "I just, you know, I've got Stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer and I just don’t want to stop."
