According to police, passerbys called 911 to report an erratic driver just after 5 a.m. at Court Street and Myrtle Avenue.

An officer who pulled up to the intersection said the driver and three passengers all appeared to be incapacitated.

As officers positioned their cruisers in front of the slowly moving vehicle to prevent it from rolling farther, the driver looked up and accelerated toward the two cruisers, hitting both.

Officers soon caught up with the vehicle, which reportedly weaved in the roadway. Police were able to disable the vehicle at 132nd Avenue and 119th Street.

The four occupants were taken to Morton Plant Hospital for precautionary reasons, according to police.

Marijuana, counterfeit money and multiple sets of keys were found inside the vehicle. Multiple charges are expected for the four males, ranging in age from 16 to 20.

No identities have been released as of yet.

The pursuit and crash, which did not impact Ulmerton traffic, remains under investigation.
