A 13-year-old girl accused of making online threats against three Pasco County schools has been arrested, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The eighth grader, who is not being identified due to Bay News 9's crime guidelines, was charged with written threats to kill or do bodily harm.

The girl created an Instagram account with the username “Jake The Klown,” according to an arrest report. She created a post that said Gulf Middle, Gulf High and River Ridge High schools would be attacked on Monday.

All three schools are located in New Port Richey.  

The post also listed the times the schools would be attacked, according to the report.

According to deputies, the girl said the post was a prank. She also told deputies that she used to the account to follow the accounts of random Gulf Middle School students.
