Tampa Police are investigating an aggravated battery on Tuesday night that left one woman with a gunshot wound.

Police said an unknown male fired multiple shots in the area of 1808 E. 23rd Ave. and struck a woman in the stomach. The victim, Marie Williams, 26, is currently in stable condition at a hospital.
According to the report, an apartment at 1902 E. 23rd Ave. was struck by a bullet, as well as a tire of the vehicle parked in front of the residence.
Police are searching for a black male suspect with short hair and who was wearing a black shirt and red basketball shorts.
