53-year-old woman killed in hit and run in Tampa

A 53-year-old woman was hit and killed Wednesday night in Tampa.

Police were called out to Hillsborough Avenue near the intersection of N. 15 Street just before 11 p.m. in reference to a hit and run. 

There, officers found Theresa Williams, 53, dead in the street. 

Officials are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130. 

The investigation is ongoing.
