Bradenton parents, Frank and Summer Hill, learned of their daughter's death early Monday morning in a phone call with other family members.

Hannah Alhers, 34, was killed during the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Her parents are now speaking out about the tragedy this week.

Hannah and her husband were at the Route 91 Music Festival in Las Vegas, very close to the stage Jason Aldean was performing on. It was also the closest stage to Mandalay Bay where Stephen Paddock launched his attack from a 32nd floor window.

The family said Hannah and Brian heard the initial gun fire and thought it was fireworks, so they started dancing again. Then Hannah was shot, and her husband laid on top of her to protect her from more gunfire. Unfortunately, it was already too late. Hannah was shot in the head and killed instantly.

Hannah is survived by her husband and their three children; Briannah, 14, Brice, 11, and Hailey, 3.

Hannah's parents said their daughter loved being a homemaker, had a very strong faith, and always had a positive attitude that could light up a room.

"Hannah was beautiful, loving, caring, full of joy, and could light up a room the moment she walked in. She was her family and friend's biggest fan," parents said on a GoFundMe page.

The family will travel to Beaumont, Calif., where Hannah's husband and kids live, for Hannah's celebration of life ceremony.

It is just one story out of 57 others, after what is now the largest mass shooting in U.S. history.
