The Orlando Magic’s newly created G league development team, the Lakeland Magic, held an open house Saturday to show off its brand new court.

The renovated arena where the team will play is inside the RP Funding Center, formerly known as the Lakeland Center in Lakeland. According to RP Funding Center Director Tony Caramillo, Polk County and the city of Lakeland plan to spend around seven million on the renovations to the arena.

The entire RP Funding Center is undergoing a $14.7 million renovation.

During the open house, the community also had a chance to check out the arena's new courtside seats and suites. Lakeland Magic Team President, Shelly Wilkes said the courtside suites are sold out.

The team’s new digital video and LED boards were also on display.

“It’s great," said Jacob Gay, who came from Riverview to see the court with his sons. "I never heard of the Lakeland Magic before, but I’m a fan of the Orlando Magic, so I’m like, 'Hey, it’s close by, so let me check it out.'”

The Lakeland Magic’s first home game is Friday, Nov. 10. Season tickets are sale now.

Individual game tickets go on sale Oct. 10, at 10 a.m.
