  • Tampa Bay Next: Howard Frankland Bridge

The pending construction is part of the Tampa Bay Next Process.

The plan calls for construction of a southbound bridge that will carry four general use lanes and two express lanes in each direction.

A bicycle lane and a pedestrian trail also will be included.

The design also calls for a structure that at some point could incorporate future light rail.

The bridge project is set to begin construction in 2020.

The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 16.

Tuesday's public hearing will be at the Westshore Marriott in Tampa, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday's public hearing will be at the Hilton-St. Pete Carillon Park, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
