As police continue to search for the Seminole Heights killer, local organizations spent their weekend out in the neighborhoods giving back.

It’s a tragedy that’s been weighing heavy on the hearts and minds of many residents. But on Saturday, they brought a message of hope. At Winner’s Worship Center in Tampa, thousands of people lined up for the annual Day of Thanks.

"Coming out here today we can breathe a little bit you get to help people see the smiles on their faces , it's been a nice break from the tragedy that's been going on," said Antonio Grier, a Seminole Heights resident and church member.

Families were given food, clothing, and support. Mayor Bob Buckhorn also helped pass out turkeys while letting the community know that law enforcement will be patrolling their neighborhoods in full force.

"We're out there , we're not going anywhere , we've saturated that neighborhood for a month we're deploying all kinds of resources and technology," Buckhorn said. "This person will make a mistake at some point and we're going to be there to catch them."

A few miles down the road, Seminole Heights neighbors were collecting canned food and New Season Apostolic Ministries. It’s the church where the fourth victim, Ronald Felton, was going to volunteer when he was gunned down in the street last Tuesday morning.

Neighbors say they want to give back to the community while honoring the victims.

"We want people to know that these people were integral parts of the community and that they were our neighbors they were our friends and they did a lot of good while they were here," organizer Nathan Dufresne said.

Seminole Heights residents said they want to continue to do good and are encouraging their neighbors to stick together and stay Tampa Strong.

A reward for information that could lead to an arrest in the four Seminole Heights murders has reached $100,000.
