  • Abandoned dog now named Milo

The sheriff’s office was called out to the gas station around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, where a dog was left in a crate next to a propane tank refilling site.

Deputies said it looked like the dog, maybe a year old, had been living in the crate for some time. The dog was good natured with a fast-wagging tail, and very thirsty, deputies said.

Word quickly got around about the poor abandoned puppy, and Sheriff’s Pilot Manny Feller jumped at the chance to add to his family.

Feller named his new family member “Milo,” who will soon join his brother “Otis.”

“Welcome home, Milo! And if you could speak human like, we're sure you'd say it's going to be the best Thanksgiving ever!” the sheriff’s office posted on their Facebook page.
