Family members of one of the Seminole Heights murder victims are saying "thank you" to the woman who helped lead police to an arrest.

McDonald's manager Delonda Walker reported that Howell Donaldson III handed her a bag with a gun inside. Tampa Police said they connected that gun to all four Seminole Heights murders.

Monica Hoffa was killed on Oct. 11, 2017. Her family said they wanted to thank Walker in person, so they went to the restaurant Thursday evening.

"She has no idea just how much of a relief this is," said Hoffa's father, Kenny Hoffa. "She took all of that worry that was out there away and she made us whole again."

There were hugs and tears as the family talked to Walker and other employees.

"I thanked her for being so brave and coming forward," said Hoffa's cousin, Yury Gutierrez. "You know, words can't explain or express the gratitude that we have for her doing what many others wouldn't dare to do."

Hoffa's mother, Olga Lavandeira, communicating through sign language, said that she was "very inspired" by Walker's actions.

The family said if Donaldson had dumped the gun in the trash, it might never have been found.

"We're just thankful to God," Kenny said. "We know it was God's intervention that brought all of this together, otherwise it wouldn't have happened."

The family of another victim, Anthony Naiboa, said they also plan to visit the restaurant to thank Walker for her actions.

Walker released a written statement on Wednesday, expressing that she is "overwhelmed" and that her "thoughts are with the victim's and their families."
