The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who robbed and shot a woman at a drive-up bank depository on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Officials said the robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo location at 204 Kings Avenue S. at around 9 p.m. The victim, a 23-year-old female, told authorities she was at the bank to access the night depository outside.

Before she could make her deposit, a man armed with a 9mm pistol, wearing a dark hoodie, approached her car. He demanding the money and tried to open the car door.

The woman locked her door, instead, prompting the robber to fire two shots. One hit the car's window, while the second hit the victim in the leg.

The robber then grabbed the deposit bag from inside the car and fled the scene.

The woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
