Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Wednesday into Thursday morning, with a closer look at conditions through the weekend.

  • More clouds
  • Few light showers
  • Nice weekend

It will be cool between now and sunrise, but low temperatures will be wide-ranging. There will be areas in eastern Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties in the 30s, while most other areas inland will be in the 40s.

There will be coastal spots, however, that don’t drop past the low 50s due to an onshore breeze. Either way, it will feel cool.

Clouds are on the increase from the west that will lead to a cloudier day for Thursday. Skies will go between cloudy and partly sunny.

Despite that, temperatures will still be warmer in the afternoon, climbing to the low 70s. There will be enough moisture to result in a few sprinkles and light showers passing from time to time.

We don’t expect much measurable rain, as most of it will be very light.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a few lingering sprinkles and light showers. Lows will be in the 50s.

Friday will feature a continuation of partly sunny skies and a few sprinkles to light showers passing by. Most of them will move out by Friday afternoon due to a cold front passing. Highs will be in the mid 70s.

Friday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the 50s.

Behind the front will be a brief shot of dry air. It will only drop the temperature a few degrees to the low 70s for Saturday, but it will be just enough to make it feel very comfortable with low humidity. Skies will be mostly sunny.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the 40s and 50s.

Sunday will be partly cloudy and nice with highs in the mid 70s.

Moisture increases early next week with the next cold front on the way likely Monday or early Tuesday.
