A bicyclist was killed early Friday morning when a car struck him from behind.

The accident occurred just after midnight near the intersection of E Hillsborough Avenue and N Central Avenue.
Police said Wayne Matthew Kersh, 52, was traveling eastbound on Hillsborough Avenue when a car struck the rear of the bike. The bike appeared to be in the bike lane, according to the report.
Kersh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police also stated there were no signs of impairment, excessive speed, or erratic driving by the car driver, Sergion Williams, 22.
No charges have been filed.
