Ella's Café and Martha's Place, both on North Nebraska Avenue, were victimized on Dec. 16 in the early-morning hours.

The owner of Martha's Place said he recently installed security cameras as an extra layer of protection while police searched for the Seminole Heights killer. Those cameras were able to capture a clear image of a man who broke into the business over the weekend.

In the video, a man walks into the business and heads behind the cash register. As he's walking away, the camera zooms in on his face. He is described as being in his late 30s and was last seen wearing a hat, gloves and bright blue hoodie.

Tampa police believe the same man also burglarized Ella's Café that night.

Many shops and restaurants in Seminole Heights took big hits when police were searching for a serial killer.

The owner of Martha's Place says he does still feel safe here and is just happy that his cameras got a good look at the burglar.

"He walked in, opened the cash register, he couldn't find anything and left,” said owner Nashaat Malak. “Thank God nobody was hurt and nobody was here."

Anyone with information is asked to call Tampa police.
