Skies will be partly cloudy through the evening. Temperatures are dropping off quickly, especially for the Nature Coast.

  • Fog lingering this morning
  • Temps slightly cooler; will warm up by afternoon
  • Cold front moving in Sunday night

High pressure is still nearby, but sliding east into the Atlantic. It will still be close enough to keep winds light, so areas of fog will develop again overnight and into the morning.

Low temperatures will again be in the mid 50s in northern counties and the 60s in Tampa Bay.

Fog will linger in the morning, eventually becoming low clouds through the late morning on Sunday. Temperatures will not move up fast while the clouds linger. The afternoon will be mostly cloudy as high clouds replace the low clouds.  High temperatures will quickly move up in the afternoon to around 80. Winds in the afternoon will become southwest, so the beaches will be cooler.

A cold front will move into our area Sunday night into Monday. This will bring a chance of a couple showers Sunday night into early Christmas Day. The rain chance is only 20 percent. The rain chance will begin in the evening, starting with the Nature Coast.

The chance will spread south into the Bay area Christmas morning.

Cooler weather is expected on Christmas Day as the front slowly drifts south. High temperatures will be in the low 70s.

Monday night will be getting cooler with low temperatures in the 40s north to 50s for Tampa Bay.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny with low humidity and high temperatures in the mid 70 to upper 70s.

Another front is likely by next weekend.  There will be a rain chance and a cool down expected.
