A New Port Richey family is spending Christmas morning elsewhere. Their home caught fire overnight. Thankfully they are all ok. A Christmas tree with older lights is the cause. @BN9 pic.twitter.com/5KDuFvgz4Q

The flames, which were shooting out of the lower roof of the two-story home, were extinguished a short time after firefighters arrived.
Neighbors in Hidden Lake Estates jumped out of bed to make sure everyone was OK.
"I came out and I saw trucks everywhere," said William Jackson. "The back left hand side of the house, flames were flying up in the air."
Crews said the fire started with a Christmas tree, and two adults who lived there told investigators there were some old lights on the tree that might have sparked.
The fire is under investigation.
