A few sprinkles will be possible for the Nature Coast by midnight. Tampa will be around 60 by midnight, with 50s inland and low 50s north.

  • Chilly temperatures later in week

A front moves south through the state tonight.  There will be a few showers tonight late into Monday, mainly north of Tampa Bay.

Some cooling begins Monday morning as lows drop to the low 50s for Tampa to upper 40s north.

Clouds will linger through Monday, New Year’s Day,  behind the front. There will be a chance for rain through the day.  Temperatures will stay in the 50s all day, or will even drop during the day. It will be breezy. The front will slow down south of the area.

Hazardous boating conditions will start Monday and are likely to continue through mid week.

Monday night even chillier air slides in. Lows will be in the mid 40s for Tampa Bay to mid 30s for the Nature Coast.

Tuesday will be breezy, mostly cloudy, cool with a small chance for some rain, especially from Tampa and south. Highs will be in the upper 50s.  

Wednesday will still be chilly with lows in the mid 40s for Tampa Bay to mid 30s north.  There will be some areas of rain developing early.  It should be drier in the afternoon. Breezy conditions will continue.  High temperatures will stay in the 40s for northern counties! 

There may be some sun later.  Another big push of cooler air moves in after the rain ends.

Thursday will bring some upper 20s for northern counties in the morning.  The afternoon highs will be in the low 50s in Tampa Bay, but might only be in the 40s for the Nature Coast.  It will be breezy, but there will be some sun.

Below-freezing low temperatures will return Friday and Saturday mornings, especially for areas inland and north of Tampa Bay.
