A 26-year-old died after he lost control of his motorcycle and struck the front of another vehicle that was preparing to turn, police said.

Salmane Benjelloun, 26, died in the accident on Dec. 7. The crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of E. Busch Blvd. 

Police said Benjelloun was traveling westbound on his Yamaha motorcycle when he struck a Ford Fusion that was traveling eastbound on Busch Blvd. 

Police said the driver of the Ford, Remi Calderoni, 20, stopped in the northbound turn lane with a small portion of her vehicle in the westbound lane. 

Police said Benjelloun lost control of the bike and was ejected from the vehicle, causing him to hit the lower front of the Ford and get trapped underneath the vehicle. 

Benjelloun died from his injuries. According to police, no charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation continues.
