18-year-old in critical condition after hit and run in Brandon

A Brandon man was hit and seriously injured Friday night while walking along a road in Hillsborough County.

Hillsborough deputies said Michael Singh, 18, was hit from behind along Providence Rd. north of Brandon Crossing Circle shortly before 10 p.m.

Deputies said the driver fled the scene after hitting Singh.

Singh was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he remains in critical condition with severe injuries.

Deputies are looking for the suspect vehicle, a 97-2002 white Ford work van with front end damage.
