Gee said the girl, who was missing for about 37 hours, was noticed by a clerk at a Circle K on Paul Buchman Highway in Zephyrhills just inside the Pasco County line. The clerk noticed the girl walking around the store and called authorities.

Authorities did not say how the girl managed to get from Brandon to Pasco County.

"(She's) just 11 and was gone for a long period of time," Gee said. "(We're) very fortunate to have this kind of conclusion."

Original report:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is still searching for a missing girl with Asperger's Syndrome.

Col. Donna Lusczynski said deputies searched overnight for 11-year-old Jenna Irmler and efforts are continuing today with K-9s and deputies in a wooded area near her home in Brandon.

Irmler is 5-foot-2, weighs 130 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, black sweatpants with a pink stripe on the side.

The wooded area is near Centerbrook Drive, which is near Bell Shoals Road. She was last seen at her home in Brandon around 9 p.m. on Feb. 14 and was discovered missing at 5 a.m. on Feb. 15.

Authorities did an extensive search overnight of sex offenders in the radius around Irmler's home. Detectives  have been with the child's family and statewide and nationwide missing child notifications have been sent out.

Col. Lusczynski said officials are searching the woods on foot and by air. A dive team has been called out to the scene and volunteers also are assisting in the search. Volunteers are asked to meet at Bell Shoals Baptist Church at 2012 Bell Shoals Road to assist in the search.

"A large area of the nearby woods and waterways are being searched," Lusczynski said. "We're asking for the public's help - for people to search their property, look in their cars, under their cars, anywhere this child may hide."

Irmler's family said the girl has run off into the woods before to play but never stayed away this long. Col. Lusczynski said Irmler's condition could make her scared or intimidated to respond to people calling out to her during the search.
