A man has been arrested and charged in a bicycle theft in Hillsborough County.

Deputies arrested Steven McCullers, 54, Tuesday and charged him with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft third degree, burglary of an occupied dwelling, dealing in stolen property and false information on pawnbroker form. 

According to deputies, several open garage burglaries occurred in the Westchase area from Feb. 1-10. 

Officials said McCullers was targeting unsecured bicycles in open, unoccupied garages and was caught on camera loading bicycles into a blue Toyota Rav4. 

McCullers was arrested Feb. 14. Deputies said he confessed to them.

Deputies recovered two bicycles valued at $8,000. Officials said the other stolen bicycles were pawned in multiple counties across the state.
