  • Brush fire in southeast Polk County and fog could lead to super fog
  • Drops visibility to nearly zero
  • Super Fog in 2008 led to deadly pileup on I-4

Fog will continue tonight and Monday morning across the area due to light winds and low-level moisture in the atmosphere.  “Super Fog” is likely to affect Southeast Polk County tonight through Monday morning.  Even though winds are calm, the air may drift the fog into morning.  So Highway 60 and Highway 630E may be affected along with Indian Lake Estates and River Ranch.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in affect for Southeast Polk County through 9 a.m. Monday.  If the fire is still smoldering through Monday, then the “Super Fog” could form again Monday night into Tuesday morning.
