The child was reported unresponsive Friday morning.

Deputies responded to a residence on Acorn Court.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Elijah Calabrese was put in his crib at 12 a.m. The child became fussy, so his father, 33-year-old Keith Calabrese, brought Elijah into the bed with him.

The infant was found lying face down and unresponsive when the parents awoke hours later. They called 911 and performed CPR on him until paramedics arrived. Elijah was pronounced dead at the scene.
