The trial continues for Dianna Marr, a Manatee County mother accused of beating her child to death.

Jurors heard the 911 calls from the day Alexander was killed, and testimony from Marr's sister.

The two sisters shared a duplex, meaning their homes were only separated by a thin wall.

Wednesday was reportedly the first time the sisters had seen each other since Alexander died.

Alexander's aunt, Nancy Hubbard, said that in April 2015, she overheard her sister's boyfriend, Trevor Cardarelle, repeating, 'Oh my god, oh my god, my life is over.'

"You heard Mr. Caradelle say 'oh my god, oh my god, my life is over,'" said the prosecutor, "and in response to that, your sister said?"

"'Calm the *#&% down,' and 'I was with you all night,'" said Hubbard.

Hubbard's husband, Zack, told the 911 operator he was fearful something terrible had happened.

"We're next door," he said in the 911 call. "We live in an apartment complex and I think someone next door is dead. We need somebody here now."

Alexander's mother called 911 around the same time, saying her son was sick the night before.

"He was throwing up and had diarrhea last night," she told the operator. "I don't know what happened."

Following an autopsy report, Alexander's death was ruled a homicide. Investigators say he had trauma to his head and torso.

Manatee County Sheriff's Office Lt. Arasali Stanley was one of the first on scene.

"When he was laying on his stomach, he was laying on the right side of his head," said Stantley. "So I could see a little trickle of blood coming out of his head, dry blood. "

Other law enforcement members who were on the scene that day also testified, describing Marr as aggressive. They said at times she even laughed.

The defense still has not called any witnesses, though they have hinted that Marr could take the stand this week.
