Here's your Tampa area forecast for late Thursday night on into Friday and the weekend.

  • Early AM fog
  • Warm Friday
  • Weak front over the weekend

Skies will go between partly cloudy and mostly clear overnight into early Friday morning. That low pressure that passed us yesterday moved to our east today. Now all the showers have moved east into the Atlantic.

Drier air has moved back into the region, but it’s not cooler, so we expect a warm couple of days ahead.

There will be some areas of fog for the early morning, but it will burn off quickly after sunrise. Morning lows will mainly be in the low 60s, but there will be some upper 50s in Citrus to Hernando county areas.

Friday will be a nice day with mostly sunny skies, but it will be a very warm day with highs in the low 80s. Friday night will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with some areas of fog and lows in the 60s.

Saturday will be another warm day, but the highs will vary with 70s near the coast, but low to mid 80s inland. That’s because the winds will be from the northwest, allowing for a cooling influence at coastal areas.

Saturday night will feature a weak cold front moving through the area. There will not be any rain with the front, so the weather will still be good for outdoor activities that night.

By Sunday morning, it will be much cooler with lows in the 50s and 40s.
