  • Driver charged with DUI

The crash occurred around 3:42 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-275 just north of the Dick Misner Bridge.

One of the drivers was arrested on DUI charges.

Troopers said Jeffrey Vendredi, 21, driving a Toyota Camry, was traveling in the northbound lanes of I-275 when he traveled into the southbound lanes, colliding head on with an SUV.

The collision caused the SUV to overturn and end up in the retention pond on the outside southbound shoulder, troopers said.
