Woman critically injured in hit and run in Tampa

A middle-aged woman is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Saturday in Tampa.

• Woman hit at Fletcher Ave. & 19th St. 

Deputies said a woman between 30 and 40-years-old was crossing Fletcher Avenue at 19th Street when she was hit by a vehicle. 

That vehicle, described as a dark or grey Sedan or crossover, fled the scene. Deputies said it should have damage to the front near the headlights. 

The victim is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
