The Bay area is in for some cooler weather over the next few days. Here's the weather forecast:

  • Temps in the 40s and 50s during overnight hours
  • Chilly Wednesday, with highs right around 60 degrees
  • An even colder overnight Wednesday into Thursday

The cold front came through with the colder air rushing into the region. It will actually get colder over the next 24 hours as the winds continue from the north.

Expect skies to go from partly cloudy to mostly clear as we head into early Wednesday morning. It will be much colder with morning lows in the 40s and even some spots in the upper 30s for Citrus County to northern Hernando County.

Wednesday will be a sunny and chilly day, with a strong north wind and highs struggling to get out of the 50s. We will likely touch right at 60 degrees briefly for the afternoon high, but most of the day will be spent in the 50s, which will make it one of the coldest days we have seen the entire winter to early spring period.

Wednesday night to Thursday morning will be the coldest part of this stretch. Skies will be clear and the winds will start to finally die down.

But as that happens, we will see the coldest air settle to the ground, resulting in widespread 30s for lows. Parts of Citrus, Hernando and eastern Pasco counties will even go below freezing briefly Thursday morning.

Thursday afternoon will be sunny, but not much milder with highs only in the low to mid 60s.
