Sorry, native Floridians -- we have another chilly night in store before things start to warm up. Here's your Tampa area forecast for the overnight hours heading into Friday and the weekend.

  • Cold morning
  • Warming trend
  • Beautiful weekend

It’s been a cold stretch of weather for our area considering the time of year. Usually by this time of year we’re talking about pool and beach conditions, not jacket weather.  But there’s a warming trend on the way.

For now, however, it’s another chilly forecast into early Friday morning. Skies will be totally clear and lows will be in the low to mid 30s north, upper 30s to low 40s inland, and mid to upper 40s near the coast.

After the cold start, Friday will shape up to be a gorgeous day with a warmer afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s. Friday night will be mostly clear with lows in the 50s and 40s.

Saturday will be fantastic and about as perfect as it can get for this time of year, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 70s. The humidity will remain low, making for ideal outdoor conditions.

The weekend will wrap up on a nice note for Sunday also. Skies will remain mostly sunny.

There will technically be a cold front that moves through early Sunday, but it will go unnoticed as it will just reinforce the dry air in the region. Temperatures will not really change much behind the front.

Spring Hill  29

Brooksville  29  Record Low

Inverness  34

Crystal River  30

Brandon  34

Lakeland  36  (Possible record)
