Road closures for St. Patrick's Day celebrations tonight

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations continue today, which means more traffic and road closures.

The mayor’s ‘Paint the River Green’ celebration is this afternoon at Curtis Hixon Park. This Hillsborough River will turn a bright Kelly Green at 11 a.m.

The St. Patrick’s Parade is also tonight in Ybor City.

Several roads will be closed for the parade. Street closures begin at 4 p.m. along Nuccio Parkway, 7^th Avenue, and 21^st Street. Those roads won’t open again until around midnight.

Parking is available at both 15^th Street and Palm Avenue garages. The trolley will also run from downtown into Ybor City. However, the trolley service will stop as the parade gets started.

If you plan on going to the parade make sure you get there early.
