A passenger in a single-vehicle car crash was left to die early Friday morning, troopers said.

The crash occurred around 1:04 a.m. Friday.

A GMC Yukon was traveling southbound on US 301 near Bishop Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road, hitting several trees before coming to a final rest.

Troopers said the driver, Oscar Lopez-Yesca, 22, and another passenger, Moliton Ramirez-Mati, 23, left the second passenger in the vehicle with life-threatening injuries.

The second male passenger, whose name has not been released pending notification of kin, died at the scene.

Officials said troopers located Oscar and Moliton in the woods near the crash scene a few hours later.

 Oscar Lopez-Yesca has been charged with leaving the scen of a crash involving a death, driving without a license involving a death, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
