The St. Petersburg Police Department are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they are calling the “smashing smoker.”
Police said a man drove a stolen car recklessly and crashed into a parked tractor trailer Tuesday night.
He then ran off barefoot, all while never losing the lighted cigarette in his mouth.
Police released surveillance video of the crash on their Facebook page.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. behind 923 Dr. MLK Street South.
