Winter Haven Police investigators are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest in a shooting that injured two men late Monday evening.

Officers are searching for Stedman Hawthorne, 25, as a person of interest in a shooting that occurred around 9 p.m. Monday near Sailwind Apartments on 24th Street NW.

Hawthorne, according to investigators, has an extensive criminal history. His prior arrest record lists 36 charges on crimes ranging from Discharge of a Firearm in Public to Possession of Methamphetamine to Grand Theft and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

The two victims in the shooting, Johnson Joseph, 23, and Alix Poinvil, 22, have been treated at local hospitals and are expected to recover.
