Two people were injured and a home was destroyed in an overnight fire in Valrico.

Hillsborough fire crews were called out around 2 a.m. to a home in the 2200 block of St. Cloud Avenue South.
Fire crews said there was heavy fire coming from the home and a vehicle parked outside.
Officials said firefighters started an interior attack of the home, but due to the heavy involvement of the fire, crews were forced to leave the interior of the home and perform a defensive attack.
Crews said two people inside the home were to able to get out on their own before crews arrived. They were transported to the hospital with injuries sustained from the fire.
Officials said it took crews 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
The home and vehicle were destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
